Dr. Shafi Shihabdeen has started working again as the Senior Officer of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward of the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital from today (30).
Dr. Shafi Shihabdeen was accused of blocking the fallopian tubes and making mothers sterile during caesarean section and was forced to stay out of work for 4 years.
The Health Service Committee of the Public Service Commission had written to the Secretary of the Ministry of Health to reassign the doctor to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.
