The case against Sri Lankan cricketer Dhanushka Gunathilaka for sexually assaulting an Australian woman was heard for the second day today (19) before the NSW District Court in Sydney, Australia.
Dhanushka Gunathilake has denied the allegation that after coming to the house of the woman who is considered to be the victim in this case in November of last year, she had sex without her consent.
It is reported that Dhanushka’s lawyers had even submitted to the court the security camera footage showing how Dhanushka and the concerned woman hugged each other after meeting at Opera Bar and then leaving for the woman’s house.
According to the Australian media, Murugan Thangaraj, the lawyer representing Dhanushka Gunathilake, worked to question the complainant strongly based on this evidence.
Lawyer Murugan Thangaraj has vehemently denied the allegation that Dhanushka Gunathilake lured her into unprotected sex.
The lawyer has asked the complainant whether the decision taken by the complainant to take Dhanushka Gunathilaka to her bedroom was not pre-planned by her. The trial is scheduled to continue. Photos of Dhanushka Gunathilaka holding hands with a beautiful woman for the trial have appeared in the foreign media yesterday and today.
