The Attorney General has made a commitment before the Court of Appeal that there will be no arrest of the former Attorney General, Dappula de Livera.
It is reported that this assurance was provided during the hearing of a petition filed by Dappula de Livera himself, seeking an order to prevent his arrest. The petition was in response to a request from the Controll Terrorism Bureau for him to provide a statement regarding comments he made concerning the Easter Sunday terror attack.
