Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya has ordered that the body of Dinesh Shafter, who was the director of Janashakti Group, be handed over to his brother Ramesh Shafter and brother-in-law James Mathew.
Due to the completion of the investigation regarding the death, the Magistrate has given this order to the committee that conducted the investigation into the death.
Prominent businessman Dinesh Shafter was found strangled in his car on December 15, 2022 at Borella Public Cemetery. He was then admitted to the intensive care unit of the National Hospital where he died while receiving treatment
