Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella stated in Parliament that he would personally intervene to secure the jobs of individuals recruited for the anti-dengue campaign.
He made this statement today (20th) in response to a question raised by opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
Expanding on his comments, the minister said, “These individuals who were recruited in 2016 did not possess any basic qualifications. They have been working for 8 years since their recruitment. Currently, there is no way to re-evaluate their qualifications. There are three cabinet papers advocating for the confirmation of these individuals. They have been presented thus far. We discussed this matter yesterday, and I will bring it up again in the next cabinet meeting. I will not abandon this issue as it would be unfair to do so.
