Tarushi Karunaratne of Sri Lanka won her second medal at the Asian Junior Athletics Festival. She secured the gold medal in the women’s 800m event held today and became the first Sri Lankan athlete to win gold in this tournament.
During the race, she clocked a time of 02:05.63 minutes and faced no challenges from her competitors. Yesterday, she also won a silver medal in the women’s 400-meter event.
